We stayed at Moxy Glasgow - Merchant City overnight. We didn't arrive until 9pm as we had been held up in a traffic jam for around three hours in Carlisle then had to drive through heavy rain caused by Storm Amy which was moving across the UK. We were grateful to finally have a roof over our heads out of the rain - even though the walk from the carpark was only five minutes, we were saturated!

I was impressed with Moxy. It was ultra modern so it really stood out in its very historic surroundings, which is what made it interesting. The room was a good size and well appointed, with modern touches like automatic underbed lighting.

Moxy's central location made it a great place to explore the Glasgow CBD on foot between showers the next morning.
