We left Edinburgh early as we had a big day ahead of us. We stopped at the England-Scotland border, then spent a few hours at Alnwick Castle – a major filming location for Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry in the first two Harry Potter movies. Afterwards we saw a small section of Hadrian's Wall, before arriving at our farmstay accommodation shortly before dark.
