On Friday we had intended to head north-west into the Scottish Highlands to stay in Fort William, however with Storm Amy bearing down on the northern half of the UK, we heeded the weather warnings and stayed in the south of Scotland.
Although there was heavy rain for most of the day and the wind was picking up as the storm closed in, we did get the opportunity to explore Glasgow, Greenock and Stirling Castle. We were fortunate to find last minute accommodation in Stirling.
